I was going to put ‘A welcome international break’ but I paused and thought of how many times we’ve come back off a break and it’s screwed us the following games where we’re somehow off the pace and not clicking. It’s not every time though so hopefully we’ll be fully at it by welcoming some players back into the mix..

There’s much to be excited about when we return, we’re still in all comps and a Final. That and we left by gaining 2 points on City. A dogged display thwart by chances either side of the field. We deserved the 3 points but only just. Thanks to Ali’s brilliance and some VAR luck we slid over the line. Fabinho making the mark once again, 4 in 5 now, fantastic stuff from our Best CB at times, Best MF at times and now best striker at times !! what a star !!
A quality player amongst quality players. We’re not really used to that and it’s nice to have some time to reflect on facts like this. I often see fairly recent starting 11’s for us that never showed this kind of quality we see today as a comparison. Every player that has put on the shirt deserves our respect and they do but under Klopp we’ve come a long way to ensuring we have at least 1 quality player in every position. FSG and Klopp have literally made dreams come true over the last 6 years and they don’t seem like stopping too soon. At times I’ve been frustrated with them with justification as we all have but that’s part and parcel of it i guess but we all understand the larger picture.
These next 6 months is another superb opportunity for FSG to keep delivering.
Now we rest and plan for a huge 2nd half of the season. We walk on.
We walk on towards hope, we walk on towards battles, we walk on to winning, we walk on towards writing our own history, we walk on towards creating new memories, we walk on towards possible greatness but most of all, we all walk on together.
