Road to St Petersburg – The final was originally scheduled to be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. However, due to the postponement and relocation of the 2020 final, the final hosts were shifted back a year, with Saint Petersburg instead hosting the 2022 final.

A serious contender that should be respected, however the last time they found themselves in the last 16 of the CL was 10 years ago. It’s going to be a proper clash.

A beaut of a position we find our ourselves in again with the abundance of talent available to us, Klopp has his work cut out for him, just to keep everyone happy and playing. As it’s the CL this could be a good chance to start Diaz, a competition familiar he is familiar with and enjoys alongside Jota and Salah this should be how we start but he may go for Mane instead because of his experience. Without the A goal rule this season we’ll probably need to score and come away with a win if possible. A great opportunity to dust ourselves off with full steam ahead into the competition we all want this season. As much as the PL is still a possibility we arguably have to string together a perfect 14/14 games in order to be in contention.
The shape of the rest of the team really depends on how Klopp wants to play the game. Could go slightly defensive and start Fab Hendo and Thiago or go full pelt and stick Harvey in for Hendo. Amazing what one player change can do to the tactics and dynamic of how we play.
Would be great to see Harvey get a runout in a high pressure CL fixture like this one. Bring it on..
