This has been yet another incredibly important week for us to keep our momentum up and dreams alive, completing the week welcoming Moyes’ Wets Ham to our beloved Anfield in a tussle that just has to go our way. I’m going to save myself the same thoughts every week from now on because not every week but every game is pretty much a cup Final with the skin tight margins we’re playing with here.
Head 2 Head results.
Games won: | 78 |
Games drawn: | 37 |
Games lost: | 29 |
In our last 10 meetings, we’ve won 8 , drawn 1 and lost one.. but this loss was our last outing at their ground so they’ll be bringing a sense of confidence about them they’ve never really had before. Hopefully this will be tarnished by Moyes’ track record a little.
LFC released their financial results – here’s a fantastic thread with a boatload of analysis to fill some minutes of your time if you so wish. In summary we have a well run club compared to others and came out of the pandemic with just a scuff.
I for one mainly care about how we’re performing and trophies but check out our growth over last 5 years:
“Interestingly, #LFC £186m revenue growth in the last 5 years is highest in Big Six, ahead of #MCFC £178m, #THFC £151m and #CFC £106m. Both #AFC and #MUFC have actually fallen, by £23m and £21m respectively. The gap between #LFC and #MUFC has narrowed from over £200m to just £7m.”
Tidy work from FSG.
Looks like we’ll be without the following for this game:
Thiago, Firmino, Jones, Keita, Matip.
This frees up the left side of midfield a little so i’m going for this:
Ali,
TAA – Konate – VVD – Robbo
Fab
Elliot – Hendo
Salah – Mane – Diaz
Jota could start, just hope the last game didn’t take a toll on his ankle.
It’s a massive opportunity to close the gap once more to 3 points and put the pressure back on them. It’s a cat and mouse game right now and will be as long as we can grab 3 points. Need to start well and off the bat unlike previous games. Lets have it boys, 100%!!
