This year marks the 150th anniversary of it’s inaugural Cup Final, which took place between Wanderers FC and the Royal Engineers on 16th March 1872.

Another Final with Chelsea , another bout for ze Germans at Wembley. Klopp coming off best last time with one of the craziest penalty shootouts we’ve ever seen. Not much was between us that day but since then in the PL we’ve performed a lot better, which could do well for our confidence but in the same breath form (for the most part) goes out the window in any Final. Drive, stamina, will and attitude all take over from here. Hendo won’t let anyone gives less than a fucking million % on Saturday and we have the firing power to create chances. But that’s where the buck lies, finishing our chances and making the right decisions at the right time, something I feel we have been under par with of late. We’ll see on Saturday I guess.

Thomas Tuchel Compares 'Genius' Jurgen Klopp To Diego Simeone

We have some immense quality in our ranks, with Thiago and Diaz coming up near the top. With Thiago coming on and switching Diaz to his preferred left side against Villa and was the change that defined the result on Tuesday night. With Robbo supporting behind the left side could be definitive again on Saturday. The deadly eye of the needle passing from Thiago, relentless overlaps by Robbo followed by devastating final product from Diaz will concern any side.

It’s a rare show in an FA Cup Final for us, last time we won it in 2006, the Steven Gerrard Final, our famous number 8 so I think it’s time to create some history and make it 8 times.

It’s now time to reinvigorate those old romantic boyhood dreams of seeing us compete for the most prestigious national club competition in the world. A cup in which the most predictable thing about it is how unpredictable it always is. The FA Cup feeds on emotion and spectacle, bringing out the unthinkable in players and match ups. We’re made for moments like these and we have two in two weeks ! Another chance to see that Hendo shuffle , another chance for the lads to make us dream and another chance to make the 97 proud.
