It feels like this is can be the fresh start to the season we need, if we put in a good performance. We’re the last to play on the weekend on a rare Monday evening outing and 3 Points is more important but only slightly more IMO. As favourites we should be expecting a quick start to put paid to a disappointing draw last weekend as quickly as possible. We could see a first start for our new wonder kid Darwin to really settle him into the Premier League, would be good to see him get a full 90 under his belt and would be interesting to see what more he can bring given a full game.
Palace are coming off a 0-2 loss to Arsenal from the first game of the season so they’ll be pushing for a decent run out themselves with both teams looking to grab some meaningful points. It will certainly be a battle out there but Klopp learns quickly but there’s nothing more motivating for the lads than playing in front of their adoring fans. Would love to see a blistering performance brushing all the rust and dust off our backs, torpedoing into the season with gusto !
