Man city vs Liverpool (EFL), PL Badgers, welcome back to normality and happy Solstice (almost spring) day!!

WWWWWAAAASSSSSUUUUPPPPPPPPP FOARites !!! ONE MORE DAY !!

I think we navigated our way through that thing unscathed right ? Well it’s all done now , there’s a new undisputed goat and we’re approaching a nice long-awaited xmas break. What better time to throw ourselves in the deep end and head to an arch rival for some proper footie.

The lads have been hitting the gym and prepping for what will be a mountain to climb as we head straight into the abyss of the mental Rollercoaster that is the second half of an LFC season.

So far it’s been a season of questionable performances and several new players have come into the fold on the regular. Elliot and Carvalho have been a breath of fresh air, providing valuable performances with their finesse and confidence. While they have been excellent they have room to grow and potential to live upto. Nunez is just finding his feet after a shaky start to the PL, whilst patchy starts for Diaz and Jota from unfortunate injuries have certainly contributed to our average points tally. Arguably Firmino has been our best attacking performer overall so hopefully see his form continue after a long rest. Salah is Salah. Bloody legend.

A recent signing for us however is Ben Doak.

A 17 year old prodigy who has lit the pitch on fire with his utterly refreshing direct fearlessness. The young tazmanian thunder has certainly caught the eye, klopp has found a gem here and could provide our struggling season with the spark it needs to get back into a groove of winning momentum. One to look out for and he should be given as many minutes as possible. Yes it’s one thing impressing in friendlies and 10-15 minutes bursts but bloody hell he can play and you can tell he has the stamina for full games. As ever though Klopp will breed and tame him nicely, protecting him when he needs it and letting him off the chain when he wants to change things up. Klopp ” “He’s a really lively boy, smart player, good dribbler, fast, can use both legs. A lot of things are obviously natural to him, which is really helpful.” He isn’t the Scottish Wayne Rooney, he’s the Scottish Mo Salah and I can’t effing wait to see what he does for us.

Moving onto the game now, a short trip across to the Emptyhad and even though it’s the EFL cup. Strange one this, I think Klopp would see this game as an opportunity to use most of his first eleven, they could all do with the stretch out there in order to be ready for Villa Away on Monday in the Prem. More than this though Klopp loves to win and loves to win against Pep, especially away. The string eleven will have beedy eyes on this hoping to see us through knowing the next rounds will give them ample opportunities to perform.

We look forward to seeing our lads back in action in what seems like an eternity, full rested but now to bes tested. GIVE IT ALL REDMEN!!!!

For those who haven’t seen this little number a few months back it’s a decent one.
