WELL.. THEY DID IT DIDNT THEY!!
PRETTY PLEASE WITH A GREAT BIG FKIN CHERRY ON THE TOP!!!
You could arguably say these are two in form teams in the PL going at it on Sunday. We have kept 4 clean sheets in a row for the first time in a LONG time. It’s a solid foundation to build on and we’re seeing signs we’re starting to build again. Beating Wolves was important and we were patient with it, a rare underlying base of confidence we’d get the job done. Jota brought some much needed intensity into the second half and gave the players a little jump start when needed. A goal scoring and arrogant Virgil does wonders for the rest of the players, it seems if he’s playing well the immediate players around him also up their game. Back to his best ? Maybe not quite yet but definietly getting there.
The next 5 fixtures are season defining for us. Hold on tight reds.
Another battle awaits at Anfield against our biggest rivals. Both playing for the win and nothing else will do really at this point. Not quite a 6 pointer but close to it. We all know whats at stake here, but pride is always the close 2nd in importance. We need to be at our very best, with experienced, flair and world class moments. Players like Salah, Hendo, Trent, Virg and Nunez have to be firing.. i’d also add Firmino into this, he could very well start this game – Give him at least the half to terrorise ?
Well what can we say about our Blessed Bobby. Everything points to that he’ll be leaving us in the summer. One of the best representitives of our club but everything this good comes to an end at somepoint, as gutted as we all are I think timing could be right, allowing a little more space for other players like Gakpo and Nunez to thrive. He’s a stalwart and legend of our club, the one who helped enabled Klopp to define his playing style around. The best false 9 we’ve ever seen. The smiling assasin who is a rare breed in that the enjoyment of playing football always seems to come first. A Brazilian master and anyone would be lucky to have him. I hope he will have left an imprint on the likes of Gakpo , Carvalho and Elliot who will have learnt so much from his intelligence, i’d put him up there with the likes of Bergkamp. Positional awareness doesn’t get much better. He will always be a red. Si Señor
Klopp: “Mo Salah, world class, but not every day. Sadio Mane, world class, but not every day. Roberto Firmino, world class, pretty much every day”
ONTO SUNDAY REDMED – KEEP UP THE GOOD FIGHT !!!
