Sitting just 2 points behind us in 4th Spurs are looking to build momentum with a new look and new feel team under Ange Postecoglou, a similar likeable man to our Klopp, a down to earth bloke with a sense of humour. There’s an interview with Ange on football focus with Lineker that’s worth a watch. We also have a newish look, that’s starting to really gel now. Just starting to see the work Klopps putting in mid week in training, szoz looking more relaxed now in that double 6 role with macca, a lot more solid with the few hiccups still to iron out. Big battle in the midfield tomorrow will certainly dictate possession and the arc of the game.
Anyway, we play to win and play to score, I think if you can compare where the goals can come from we certainly have more fire power that spurs, if you take out Son and Madison then you lose the bulk of the threat so it’ll be important to keep them quiet. We have at least 5 real threats plus the midfield are chipping in now with assists and goals. The fact we’ve been leaking goals though, especially early on is our biggest concern. They’re really coming from lapses of judgememt though so this should be the next big issue we need to sort through with clean sheets. Tomorrow should be about who creates more and takes their chances, stating the obvious but it may be a tight game.
Most important is those precious 3 points , every game is literally a cup final!
