The battle continues between one of our biggest rivals in recent times. Only on the pitch of course, not off the pitch. Plastic cheating fucks. Anyway, this one is huge. The biggest yet.
It feels like we’re on a knife edge at the moment, and this game could be the tipping point. We know what’s at stake. It’s coming off the back off a hard fought point at Villa, even though we only made it hard on ourselves. Therefor this game means more, it’s a reflection point and we have step up if we want to achieve anything this season, apart from being top of the league for a while.
Besides Salah and maybe Mac, we’ve seen a little dip from the lads of late, which is understandable as much as frustrating. But it’s not their fault and there’s only so many times we can say the same thing, it’s because we haven’t strengthened ONE FUCKING BIT.
We’ve actually regressed and are still regressing even though we’re 8 points clear. We just don’t have the bandwidth anymore and it’s a wall we can protect only for so long until the foundations give out. It feels like we’re waiting for the shoe to drop, for the storm to take hold and for Slot to run into a the false sense of security basically Salah has given him this whole season. Am I being too harsh ? Probably, but there is still optimism, it’s diminishing but it’s still there.
Another game to write home about, we will be ready for them but they’ll be ready for us. Unsure whether they’re bouncing back or not only time will tell but it’s an open game we’re expecting and of late we’ve been sloppy at the back. They’re in a better shape squad wise than us, they saw what they were lacking and fixed it. Why can’t we do that.
It’s a time to shine for our boys, it’s a stake in the ground moment for Slot. Let’s get right behind them and get that fucking win redmen!!! COME OOOONNNN!!!
