We have unfinished business in Paris. We have leftovers that need to be dealt with and a solid week off before we play them. Will be going into this one pretty fresh so no reason to hold back for anything. Whatever happens if we’re within a goal on the return leg at Anfield I fancy it but would love to bring back an advantage.
To be fair they’re a good team and they’re also 13 points clear at the top of the table, but it is in the farmers league. They do play this weekend though so won’t be as fresh as us.
Shame we ended up winning the CL Group league and they did so poorly, weird ass format that will take years to get used to. But they say if you want to win something you have to beat the best. Overall I think we’re going into the later stages of the CL this season the most feared but I always forget that, we should be proud and own our current status no matter what happens.
When asked about Liverpool Luis Enrique stated : “Well, if we look at Liverpool, which, in theory, is in a transition year, they have a top-level coach and are one of the best teams in Europe,” With their results, they are at the top of the standings, etc. But I believe we will be in the competition, and we will give them a hard time. The goal is to fight until the end.”

The feeling at the moment outside of football is a complicated one, we’ve been sucked into a realm of instability and fear. There are many of us who feel the same way, I feel like the least damaging way to go through these uncomfortable times is to bury my head in the sand and focus on what makes me happy, which is sometimes actually quite easy to do. But there’s that nagging feeling in my gut that nothing really fucking matters in the grand scheme of things because it’s all just bullshit and everyone is in the bucket hoping for gasps of fresh air once in a while to keep the wolf from the door. I’m sending strength to myself and all of you to shift the focus on occasion when we’re feeling down to this incredible season we’re having, it’s absolutely nothing short of mesmerizing and it feels like sometimes it’s flashing by me at a rate of knots. I have to really focus and halt myself in my tracks with everything going on and breathe this all in, but it’s hard. I should tell you all that I’ve had thoughts recently of making this the last season at FOAR but in the same breath FOARsite and all of you are my little escape and comfort blanket when I’m lost in other thoughts. I’ll see how it goes. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. x
Anyway, as most managers that have experienced it can admit, Anfield is the most heated stadium in the world on a return leg. So this flavourful tie should be in our favour. We mean business this season. Let’s give it absolutely everything now!!
