This week we remember the 97. Never Forgotten and always with us.
We’re sitting mightily pretty right now on the verge of something glorious, every day that goes by is a day closer to clinching number 20. An unspoken of possibility in August but we’re here and we’re fucking doing it.
Any game now is whatever, and by whatever I mean whatever it takes to get 3 points come rain or shine or luck or gusto. Just get it done. Only thing I wouldn’t mind seeing is Salah break 50 G/A and he needs 3 more to do so. His and the Premier Leagues best ever season for goal contributions. Is it as impressive as just goals ? Debatable.
Mate who’s a scum fan said it’s the most boring season for a long time, I mean I absolutely don’t blame saying that from his perspective. Those twats could end up finishing 4th from bottom and it’s looking ever more likely. Turns out Giggs was correct, United would never fall like Liverpool did. They would fall MUCH further down and I’m laughing mt tits off all the way to the title! twats.
Slot has grown so much in this first year but he’s made it look fairly effortless. With no additions (really) he’s provided the lads with the expert tactics in each position so they can thrive even more, the likes of gravy, konate, mac, szobo, salah and even diaz have proven what individual tweaking can do, he’s made only a few minor adjustments with how the team play together. One being reducing the amount of unnecessary intense burst that happened so frequently under heavy metal Klopp. You can literally see the results now, barring a few individuals the overall fitness of the squad being that much more superior to our rivals.
We’re all hearing rumours of the intentions to strengthen somewhat in the summer. Slot wasn’t able to strengthen yet even in Jan, but we’ll give the benefit of the doubt here because he was still sussing the squad out and making plans for the summer.. potentially. The axial question is If/When we win the league will our owners treat the situation the same as they did in 2020 believing that because we won the league we are strong enough to continue or will they have learning and admit to the fact that we have to strengthen from a point of strength to maintain performing at the top level ? We’ll see.
First though, let’s get another 3 points and sink Van Titselroy into oblivion.
