We will be welcoming a Liverpool legend back tomorrow, a man who could pick out a pass from space, a baller that could smash one from 30 yards out and is revered as one of the best to do it in the Premier league, however he left his beloved Liverpool for his Madrid wet dream, but we welcome him back with legendary status, the one and only Xabi Alonso !
Okay okay, we welcome Trent back as a legend too. He won everything he could with us, but really only once. So whatever our own grown scouser wanted to achieve more than that, he wanted to do it with someone else, none other than our biggest fkin global rivals. Whatever tomorrow brings with Trent it will be, uh, memorable.
All focus is on winning this one and nobody else will be more up for it that Mo Salah. He always seems to have an axe to grind with this fixture, and it’s because he does. We all feel it too. To win against Madrid is always special but for Mo it’s almost a destiny, to put things right, to feel like you have conquered evil and to put a rival in their place. I think we saw Mo’s best 45mins in a LFC shirt all year on Saturday. He was quicker, brighter and more clinical than we’ve seen him for months. However, it was just 1 game out of 10 where we’ve played that well, it was only 1 performance, but to be on song like that tomorrow will feel really fucking good. We know the fans will do all they can, the hype will be there but will the lads turn up ?

Arne’s team selection here will be important. The midfield is undropable so id be surprised if we saw change there. But i’d like to shine a light on Robbo, I think he should start. He’s had a few days of recovery now so its not out the question. What we saw against Villa is the Robbo of old, he helped set the tempo on the weekend and left Virgil to worry about Konate and the guys in front, instead of Kerkez and the new dynamic. I think it would be prudent to start him and to play for at least the 1st half. Set the tempo again, set the standard and crack on from there. In other news Gakpo, I think slot loves him, I mean I like him, but we’re not seeing anything special right now. Its more of the same old cut in head down and shoot. No wonder we’re seeing a decline of overlapping runs from LB, Robbo couldn’t be fucked on weekend so he went straight through the middle instead , almost scored to boot. I just think Wirtz could do more that space Gakpo is currently occupying. He’s alot more unselfish and this alone would fester more movement from the attacking players, creating more opportunities. He’d also run rings around Trent if he plays.
Wirtz looking focused today.. Come on boyo, time to shine ✨️

Whatever happens nothing less than 100% from all the players will be good enough, like on Saturday. We know who we’re up against and we know what’s at stake.
We saw the madrid contingent pay their respects to Jota , Andre and their family tonight. A nice touch.

Big one on the horizon.
What are you most looking foward to seeing from us? I’m hoping to see another cruncher from Bradders 💪
