I’m writing this before the window closes but I don’t think many of us believed we would blast 2 footed into spending more did we? If you ask me, we kinda have 2 players for each position, which is a first for a very long time, so I think I only thought about incomings a couple of times in the whole month.
There was however, I thought, a possibility that if we got to this stage in the season and the chasing group had caught us, that we may grab a right-back, push Frim to the wing and pull Mo inside to link with Pru, (as we saw in the Bournemouth game) to give us options for a push for top 4 but who knows.
Anyway, on to Arne. Let me say to begin with, that I quite liked what I thought was him being brutally honesty in the beginning, to middle of this season (except when he hung individuals out to dry) but then he started to say that every opponent we lost to was playing a low block, which doesn’t just insult our intelligence and make oppo managers laugh but it’s also like pulling down ya knickers and showing everyone ya squidgy bits. However, I do believe (and this is where some may wanna skip) that fsg (and Edwards) should’ve known enough about the game itself to refuse to let all our pace go in one foul swoop, no matter how good Arne’s pitch was.

Anyway, onto Newcastle. On paper this should be Arne’s nightmare but in reality, oppositions don’t really need to play especially well defensively to keep them scoreless (unless Gordon is on form), so that’s a plus and I quite liked what I saw of Mo and Pru linking up against Bournemouth, so I’ll go 5-0.
