This is the final one, for many people. For Robbo, for Salah, for Ali maybe, possibly Slot.
We’ve just gotta get a draw to absolutely guarantee CL next season, which we need as a club to retain and attract players first and foremost.
It will be nice to see Hendo and Kevin back at Anfield for an emotional day of football. The issues off the pitch and the finale’s on will no doubt dwarf the significance of the performance and the game itself. We should be beating Brentford, but those words have been diluted into dust this season.. ‘we should be beating burnley’ WRONG, ‘we should be beating Wolves’ WRONG… Slot and the players have turned us into an over-achieving mid table team this season. It’s a mind boggling collapse we’re dealing with. But we have the summer to fix it.
Just hope someone can start steering the club in the right direction starting in June. LOTS of work to be done.
My fellow Foarites. Thank you once again for all of your brilliant, funny, touching, crazy, fucked up, mental contributions to our little corner of the world this season. For me, it’s got me through packing it in to be honest, you’ve created the space in my brain to allow this site to continue. Without you, there is no FOAR.
I’ll do one more post in a few weeks. But for now I’m going to peace the fuck out for a lil’ bit and whilst we continue to simultaneously hold each other up and rip each other apart in the right moments on Disqus I hope you manage to take some time to look after yourselves.
We will be better next season, we just have to be.
