Just a quiet European night at Anfield this week gents.. the return of Xabi Alonso on the back of one of the most impressive first seasons ever. His side overcame a 11-year dominant Munich to win the Bundesliga in style. A marvelous feat really. Xabi is winner and sets only best standards for himself and his club.
Slot is also in his first season, in a different league. We’ll see what he can do but tomorrow is a big test for him, finding himself in the middle of a cramped fixture schedule trying to manage his players whilst performing and winning games is no easy task. However, Slot brings a sense of composure to the situation taking every games as it comes. We look solid at Anfield this season, especially when the crowd comes to play, it’s another important game meeting quality opposition, one more ‘test’ to see what our boys can deliver.
Our squad is still looking strong, Konate may be missing tomorrow but his Gomez showed he is more than capable enough next to VVD. Arguably motm vs Brighton only playing 45 minutes, a brilliant performance only dampened by not scoring because he had his chances! He really has been a loyal servant to LFC and fully deserves a starting spot tomorrow. I’m so glad we didn’t sell him in the summer, he’ll be hugely important for us with his quality and versatility this season.
Let’s get that 4th win in the CL and maintain that 100% record boys !!
