I think we’re starting to feel a little underrated at the moment. Like when do people start saying we deserve to be where we are right now. Slot has set a new record of 14 wins in the first 16 in charge in the PL. A seriously impressive feat to achieve in any season.. and if it isn’t that impressive why is it a record ? Everyone in football should now start appreciating the start we’ve had. With no recruits (no counting Chiesover) and a new tactician in charge. I know we haven’t set the world on fire with performances and these definitely need improving, especially in the first half of games but at the end of the day.. we get it fucking done.
We face a reinvigorated Villa at the late Kick off on Saturday, a team challenging on all fronts with the help of the seriously talented Emery. With shrewd investment and an enabling philosophy he has taken Villa to dizzy new heights in recent years but what will test him now is stamina. This will be a toughie on Saturday and we really have to start as we mean to end games otherwise we’ll be punished by teams like this. You can’t rely on 2nd half performances all of a sudden. It just won’t work.
