Nice win on Saturday, but again we stumble and let yet another team back in the game after dominating and being 2-0 up. Lots to work on. But a brilliant result at the end of the day, early KO vs a rejuvenated Everton side. 15/15 is absolute BOSS. Gravy is becoming one of the first players on the teamsheet, he’s a delight to watch and is has everything about his game to be world class. Now adding goals and assists. Give him a proper contract I say and a bossy Scouse girl to keep him here. He knows players go to shit when they leave, it’s the best place for you lad and you could become a legend.
So here we are then, a dead rubber for the 1st team and a massive opportunity for the fringers and youngsters. Whatever way I look at this cup i’ve had a hatful of it. I really don’t want to see any first team players here except for maybe Isak and Rio. Why risk it, play the U21’s. We need a rest after 3 games in 6 days.

I think overall it will be a nice break for the lads, watching on as we start a new tourney. Chance to settle down and focus for the next round of games.
Hoping for a good win for the lads that will be able to play more games in this cup in the rounds to come. Saints will know we’ll be weaker so will come straight at us. They need to bounce back after a measly 3 draws and 2 losses to start their season. They need something to celebrate. But we’ll be keen aswell.
