Liverpool vs Chelsea – Our first proper test

With a perfect start to both clubs this season Saturday will certainly be a 6 pointer regardless of how early in the season it is.

Coming off a strong and physically successful performance on the weekend we’re in good shape all over the park.

Defence looks solid with Ali as the Anchor, Konate hasn’t even had a look yet but I think we expected that looking at Klopp’s track record. Midfield looks together and well built, with each player having the others backs, our attacking force looks on point, Mane needed that goal though. I think we should be more feared than the Plastics right now and we always seem to step up to another gear when facing top 6 and we certainly have those gears in our locker.

Oh and we also faced a tougher opponent on the weekend 🙂

Since the start of the season we’ve seen 2 very different Midfield lineups. The only one I have confidence in saying who will start will be Fabinho. Hendo is more than likely to start but it seems as though Klopp could be picking them based on how well they trained during the week at the moment.

The case could be put to start Kostas, he’s had a fantastic pre-season and stepped it up another level in the last 2 Prem games but Robbo is simply a world class player that has the wealth of experience in intense and important games like this one. Just hope he’s fit as he’ll be roaring.

Let’s not forget we haven’t even been able to discuss who starts at LB for fucking years, so what we’re really discussing is certainly not a problem it’s an important solution to a long term LB headache. What’s more Kostas has clearly been studying Robbo last season from the dogged and intelligent performance he put in against the dingles. This bodes well for LFC.

Robbo to Klopp:

“You think I exist to provide you with position. I think your position exists to provide me with Freedom. And I go to make sure that I have it.”

If you haven’t yet seen the recently released film about training Trent’s Vision in collab with Red Bull here’s the link. I thought TAA had a superb game on weekend, a deft touch for Mane’s goal, the kid will only improve and this may happen quicker if he’s allowed to drift into the midfield like that more.
